Living the dream...
Wow! We have covered some distance in the past couple of days.We have been camping at state parks and just trying to relax. The scootering keeps getting better and better. The scenery is beautiful and the houses along the beach are all on stilts with no two alike. We keep taking side roads and back roads and thought we were getting pretty good at navigating until we found ourselves on a freeway for a breif second. Four lanes of traffic whizzing by you at 70 mph is pretty scary. We cooked some really good and cheap meals the past few nights. One being ham, rice and broccili, and corn for $2.20 each and the other being sausage, bowtie pasta, and green beans for $2.50 each. For breakfast today we were going to have some peaches but found a quarter inch hole in my backpack that a critter put his arm into and demolished 2 peaches, 1 banana, and a kiwi. Bummer! Right now we are on the Cedar Island to Ocracoke ferry heading to the Outer Banks which takes almost 2 hours. Our plan for tommorow is to scoot up the Outer Banks and camp along the way. Our buddy Jordan pulled through again with a yard for us to camp in in Kitty Hawk. Thanks Jordan!!!!
